Inversia 2017

Inversia is an international festival of digital and media art over the Polar circle. During four days the artists from North-West Russia and Northern Europe are meeting in Murmansk to present their artworks, exchange the experience and form a community around contemporary digital environment.

Darkness as a layer or background gives a chance to enjoy the light. We decided to use public space internally and externally to demonstrate for its citizens and guests that the darkness can also be interesting and exciting, it is a sustainable matter to think and discuss.

The festival represents several art genres. It includes music part focusing on Nordic musicians as well as sound artists, also it is a venue for contemporary video productions and light performances, a discussion platform with both traditional and more alternative, informal scenes of dialogue, it is an international meeting place across borders.
