A unique experience of synesthetic research of the largest city beyond the Arctic Circle and presentation of the results at Inversia festival 2022. Participants will study the nature of electric light and become the performers of a cartographic play from the Lighthub cycle.
Under the supervision of the sound and media artist Boris Shershenkov, the participants with the help of special converters will have the opportunity to synesthetically study the light environment of the city and transform the usual sources of urban lighting into a single, multi-channel sound work.
Guest curator of the Lab – St. Petersburg based sound-artist Boris Shershenkov. Author of a number of sound installations and performances, focusing on experimental electronics and sound art. Curator of concert programs, exhibitions and educational projects. He actively works in the areas of live electronics and electroacoustic improvisation, both solo and in collaborations with Russian and foreign musicians.
